Along the highway, you will see kids as young as 7 years old carry a baby less than a year asking for money. They tried to open your car door. They do this till night fall...
Most of the shopping malls are bigger than SINGAPORE....and more malls are in the process of building it...you can't tell whether is there RECESSION while shopping there.
I shifted 3 times. My 1st 2 night, I had stayed over at a place near Tangerang. Most of them are like shophouses, 1st level is use for storing their goods, 2nd level and 3rd level is meant for rooms.
2nd day, I went to Puncak somewhat like Cameroon Highland. Is cooling and the vegetable is Fresh! u get carrot with their green leaves, yam, very sweet potatoes.
On my 3rd/4th night, I had stayed in North Jakarta - Mall of Indonesia(MOI) at one of the apartment and the shopping mall isn't fully operated yet. In the evening, we went to Grand Indonesia another shopping mall in CBD area. Basically my 4th day is SHOPPING. You learn about their Fashion sense and the type of food serve there. You won't be surprise to see Singapore similar shops there eg, BREADTALK, Kopitiam, Charles & Keith, etc
On my last night, we moved back to west of Jakarta - Tangerang which is nearer to the Airport. When you meet friends in Jakarta you don't give them the exact time to meet cos the JAMs is terrible it can take over 1 hr plus to reach your destination even thou originally take 15min..
