We explore around Dublin City. We spent including air ticket, accomodation and food around euro150.
Places visited - Dublin city, Howth Fishing port, Malahide Castle, Saint Stephen Green, Trinity College & Book of Kells.
Most of the church here require a fee to enter. The wonderful part is the weather, cos Dublin weather suppose to be harsh but it was wonderful for the 1st 2 day while on the last day we experienced the strong wind & light drizzle. There are alot of walking, with 1 bus trip cos 2.30euro regardless of distance travelled, eg, to airport cost 2.30euro, a few bus stop away also 2.30euro.
Dublin is a quiet city. On a Monday afternoon, alot of shops are still not open. Well, except for some supermarkets. The cost of the food is more expensive than London. Well but still we manage to grab some cheap stuff from supermarket and cook in the hostel.
The first time I stayed in a hostel was in Taiwan and I get to meet up with friend from Taiwan & Japan. Now in Dublin, I knew a Germany girl who is only 19 & a Moldova guy. This Moldova guy knows how to speak 6 languages - French, German, Spanish, Japanese, English(I guess so) & self taught Mandarin!!!argh....and there the 3 of us felt we are multilingual too. We know- English, Mandarin, little Jappy, Cantonese, Hokkien, Hainanese, Hakkanese, etc :). Well most of the time I never exchange contact. I never thot of doing that unless they requested.
These was taken from Lisa's camera. Guessed she will take sometime to upload. :D
Total cost for 3 Days 2 Night including lodging and meals - €150
Accomodation at 1st night - Dublin HI(AN Oige) , 2nd Night - Camden Place Hostel (isn't too bad quite like the cosy place oh esp the FREE FLOW of Cadburys Hot chocolate yummy and FREE WIFI)
Both places has free breakfast while the Dublin HI(DHI) is a big hostel while the latter is very much smaller and cosy though. Oh DHI is more expensive than Camden. I would recommend Camden to all of you.
